Paint Your Nails at Home VS Get Your Nails Painted Professionally

When it comes down to doing our nails us women either do them ourselves or get them done by a professional. This is a debate I think we all have secretly inside of us and I really want to run through my thoughts on this topic.

Paint Your Nails by Yourself.
Not all of us have the talent of a steady hand, lets be honest. Never mind that, it is always a little bit harder working on your other hand (the one you don't write with). I used to be the girl who could not really do her nails well and used to have just a boring old colour painted on. Let me tell you this, practice makes perfect. I started following Youtube videos and coming up with my own ideas for nail art. I gradually started practicing with easy designs and moved on to the harder ones as my confidence grew.

With Youtube being around you can pretty much learn anything without having to go to college. I guess you just will not have the certificate to support your knowledge and a confirmation from a teacher. The benefits of painting your nails at home by yourself is that it will save you a lot of money. I have a few friends who go and get their nails done on a regular basis - not that I am saying this is wrong but you do need to have a good balance in your bank account to support this habit.

Think about the confidence you will gain when doing them yourself and how much of an achievement it will feel like to you. I would suggest this option definitely to women who do not have the financial capability to support at least twice a month pedicures and manicures and to women that feel they are confident in achieving the end result all on their own.

Get Your Nails Painted Professionally.
Never mind having the talent, how about having the time. It is lovely to book an appointment and to be able to just sit and relax whilst someone concentrates on giving your nails that spa like treatment. There are many different financial options for this - you can get your nails painted at the salon which will more likely be the most expensive or ask a mobile nail technician to pay you a visit at your house, which is much cheaper.

The great thing is once you find your preferred nail technician you can basically look on the internet for inspiration and ask them to copy it. Lets be honest most nail technicians can create most designs. I have found myself in bother before because I did not take the right precautions in finding the correct beautician. You should always make sure they use Professional Nail Brands otherwise you really shouldn't be paying that much if they are only using a 2.00EU nail varnish on you. Make sure the environment and equipment that is used are professional. A woman had once done my nails demanded a good amount of money and put my feet in a plastic bucket. Yes, it is the same thing but I could also do this at home myself. What I couldn't do is use a foot bath that has a mini jacuzzi motion within it and has been created to massage my feet.

In other words girls, if you have the money to support your beauty habit then go for it BUT make sure what you are paying for makes up for the quality they are giving you as an experience. If you do not have the money but would like to treat yourself every now and then, at least make sure you get a pedicure and manicure so that you get your cuticles, soles of your feet etc cleaned professionally.
